This analysis provides data that represents an evaluation of trip generation rates for vehicles and persons arising out of medium density residential development based on surveys at suitable sites. As part of this study, consideration has been given to the accessibility score which is a measure of accessibility to public transport and proximity to commercial and retail business districts and its effect upon trip generation. Finally the trip generation rates obtained for the study have been compared to available trip generation rates from various national and international guidelines. The purpose of this study was to determine trip generation rates for medium density residential developments where the residents either own, or commercially rent, the dwelling.
